The factory floor is in orbit now.

KILN operates orbital platforms that forge alloys, grow optical glass and assemble structures gravity keeps out of reach on Earth.

How a run works

Three phases, one continuous vacuum.

A fabrication run moves from your spec sheet to a recovered payload without ever touching a factory floor on Earth.

01

Manifest

You submit alloy composition, tolerances and run size through the manifest API. Engineering confirms feasibility against the next open platform window.

02

Fabricate

The platform holds continuous microgravity for the length of the run, weeks at a stretch, growing crystal structures and alloy mixtures that separate or fracture under any gravity well.

03

Return

A recovery capsule reenters on a scheduled window. Cargo is inspected within 72 hours of splashdown and cleared against your original tolerance sheet.

What the platform does

Five capabilities, one orbital deck.

Zero-G alloy forging

Continuous microgravity mixing produces alloys that separate by density on Earth. No crucible contact, no convection currents.

Optical-grade glass growth

Fiber preforms grown without gravity-driven striations, cutting attenuation loss in long-haul optical fiber.

Ultra-pure crystal growth

Semiconductor-grade crystal boules grown free of the convection defects that limit ground-based furnaces.

In-space assembly

Structures too fragile for a launch stack, welded and joined after the platform is already on orbit.

Return and inspection

Every run is inspected against its original spec sheet within 72 hours of capsule recovery, before cargo ships to you.

FORGE MODULE SOLAR ARRAY THERMAL RADIATOR

One platform, three active decks on orbit.

Each platform carries a forge module, a dedicated thermal radiator pair and a return capsule bay, sized for runs up to 600 kg of finished cargo.

Booking a run

From spec sheet to manifest confirmation.

01

Submit your specification

Alloy composition, tolerances, run size and target delivery window, submitted through the manifest API or directly with an engineer.

02

Engineering review

Our team checks feasibility against platform capacity and the next available orbital window, usually within a few business days.

03

Manifest confirmed

You receive a locked run date, recovery window and inspection checklist before the platform ever leaves the ground.

"KILN cut our optical-fiber preform defect rate in ways a ground furnace never could. The vacuum does half the engineering for us."
